Rita Ora was born in 1990 in Pristina, Kosovo[a] to Kosovar-Albanian parents and moved to the United Kingdom when she was 1. She grew up around Portobello Road in West London,[6] and attended St Cuthbert with St Matthias CE Primary School in Earls Court, following which she graduated from Sylvia Young Theatre School and then St Charles Catholic Sixth Form College. Today she lives in Kensington, London.[6] Ora began singing from a young age.[7][8] In 2004, she appeared in the British film Spivs.[9]
In 2007, Ora had her first music release when she appeared on Craig David's track titled "Awkward"[10] and then again in 2008 on "Where's Your Love" featuring Tinchy Stryder, for which she also appeared in the music video.[11] She has appeared in 2 songs of James Morrison's album Songs for You, Truths for Me as backing vocal. Ora began singing in bars in and around London.[12]
She auditioned for Eurovision: Your Country Needs You on BBC One to be the British contestant for the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest[13][14] but later withdrew from the competition after a few episodes as she did not feel ready.[13] Her manager, Sarah Stennett (CEO of Turn First Artists, who also worked with Ellie Goulding, Jessie J andConor Maynard), later told HitQuarters that Ora had entered the competition because at the time she had felt it was her only chance at finding success.[15] Her withdrawal followed her first meeting with her manager when she was reassured that she had genuine potential to make it as a pop star and that performing in Eurovision would hinder rather than help her chances.[15] Stennett got in touch with Jay Brown of Roc Nation and told him about Ora. Brown asked Ora to fly out to New York where she met with Jay-Z.[15][16] Ora signed with Roc Nation in December 2009, within 48 hours of her arrival in the United States.[15] The same year, she made a cameo on Jay-Z's video for "Young Forever".[17]
In 2010, Ora made a cameo on "Over" video by Drake[18] as well as being featured in a commercial for Roc Nation + Skullcandy Aviator Headphones[19] and one for CK one Lifestyle brand.[20]
ERA Moon Night
Seu álbum de estreia Moon Night foi lançado mundialmente no dia 14 de Abril de 2012 e Depois foi lançado seu primeiro single alcançou posições gratificantes chegando ao numero #1 no Estados Unidos, então foi lançado True Love que chegou em #3, nisso veio a premiação chamada Capricho Awards que foi indicada a 3 Categorias, onde ela saiu vencedora por Crank It Up em Melhor Vídeo Internacional.
Quando chegou no ano de 2013 Rita teve problemas com a Roc Nation por causa do seu segundo álbum de estúdio e seu primeiro single até se demitiu mais voltou a empresa e começou a trabalhar normalmente e foi lançado seu primeiro single mundial If You Can Afford Me que foi bem trabalhado e pegou seu #1 no Japan Chart e logo depois lançou o seu vídeo oficial, em Outubro lançou seu segundo single I Think I'm Ready e logo em seguida o seu segundo álbum de estúdio Mirage Mirror que foi lançado no dia 22 de Outubro de 2013 junto com o álbum da Norte Americana Katy Perry. Então como o Japão estava agradando muito o álbum Mirage Mirror a gravadora resolveu lançar um single lá e decidiram lançar Believe Me, o vídeo demorou a ser gravado porque estava fazendo um vídeo de 1h para poder quebrar o recorde o vídeo de Pharrell Williams Happy mais não conseguiu porque ele tinha varias versões do vídeo e tem uma grande versão de 24h, então como Believe Me estava muito fraco em vendas decidiram pular para o quarto single que é 30 Minutes um feat com a cantora Katy Perry o vídeo foi lançado no dia 10 de Fevereiro de 2014. No Radio Songs na categoria pop a musica já garantiu seu #1.
